Summary of Position The web developer will make web-based programs, applications and games. The web developer also will be in charge of handling and keeping up-to-date the website and databases of the organization. Duties The web developer will create web applications that the organization needs to support the organization?s mission. He/She will also have to maintain a database that can hold a substantial amount of data that the organization needs. A web developer must always be creative and speak his/her mind. He/She must give advice to the organization to help make our web pages better and more functional. The Web developer will construct the layout of the website, be responsible for putting add-ons like photos, images and clip art, and adding animation and videos to make the website more interesting. Other than that, he/she will create the links that connect the main page to the other pages. He/She will also create programs wherein files can be stored and email can be sent through the site. Education and Training Requirements A bachelor?s degree in computer science. Knowledge and Skills Requirement He/She must know how to create Flash and has already mastered HTML. Knowledge in Search Engine Optimization is a plus, but not necessary. He/she must have great attention to detail and must be highly creative. He/she must be tactful, can accept comments, criticisms and suggestions, but also need to voice out own opinions.
