Description

Title: Design and Tech Support Job Title of Supervisor: Tech Integration Specialist Effective Date: Fall 2009 Work Location: Baltimore, MD, possible from home Length of Contract: Negotiable Salary: Unpaid General Function: Provide design and tech support with network communities and World Relief. Specific Job Duties: • Devise innovative methods and usages for World Relief affiliate offices and assist facilitation in adoption of such methods. • Assist in communication of technology ideas and best practices to WR staff and volunteers. • Assist in teaching web 2.0 to WR staff and volunteers. • Design for web—including flash banners, template, e-blast banners and other pieces. • Create and oversee Cause Networks on Cause-Up. • Assist staff and volunteers in creating and maintaining new network group pages, hosting events, etc. • Research resources, media, seminars, conferences, and learning tools to post on Cause Networks. • Network with others interested in causes. • Provide routine design support using Quark, Photoshop and other design software.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Must be familiar in html and css language. • Knowledge of Quark, Adobe Flash and other technologies required. • Demonstrated organizational skills. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Highly motivated, self started • Flexible and a team player • A committed Christian faith • A commitment to learn and serve under the supervision of World Relief
