Description

The GreenHouse Center is looking for energetic, enthused, kid-loving individuals to volunteer as a Workshop Leader for our 7-week summer program that runs from June 15th to July 31st. Enrichment workshops at our center provide an avenue for under-resourced kids 1st through 12th grade to experience activities and hobbies that they would have otherwise not been exposed to or had the chance to discover on their own or at school. Workshops can include any creative or fitness skills from origami to sewing to dancing to basketball! Workshops are half-an-hour to an hour long and happen Tuesday during program: Adventure Zone (1st-6th grade) runs from 10 am to 1 pm and Liquid (7th-12th grade) is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The commitment varies depending on what kind of workshop you have to offer! It could be a one-time workshop such as an outdoor education workshop or a series of 4 skill-building workshops such as dance workshops. We want to use your unique skill! Contact us and see how you can contribute your gifts and talents to impact at-risk youth in a positive way. Weekly volunteers are required to: complete an application, be interviewed, be fingerprinted, and attend a training session; be at least 18 years old.
