Description

Soccer Nights is a free, week-long clinic for youth of the ages 6-12, offered by Cambridge churches now at three sites in the month of July: Russell Field in North Cambridge, Sennott Park in Central Square, and MacDonald Stadium. In 2010, all three sites drew over 200 children from their neighborhood and recruited 70+ volunteers. Soccer Nights is in need of volunteers to coach, register children each night, prepare snacks, solicit donations, write articles for neighborhood papers, take pictures + video, coordinate volunteers.

Requirements

To be a Soccer Nights volunteer, you must enjoy working with children! We expect our head coaches to have at least 5 years of experience playing soccer, while every other position, e.g. assistant coach, field assistant, hospitality, do no require ANY soccer background. Head coaches are responsible for leading 10-15 sized groups in warm-ups, drills, scrimmages, and small group discussions.
