Description

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells reusable house building and home improvement materials to the public. The thrift store accepts donated goods which are sold at 30-50% of the retail value. All proceeds from the sale of donations help place families in affordable shelter in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The ReStore provides an environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing funding for Habitat?s community improvement work. Volunteers are needed to run the store on a daily basis. Volunteer activities will include: customer service, cleaning, organizing, pricing donations, and stocking the store floor. Requirements: Must be able to commit to volunteering at least one day a month for a 4 - 6 hour shift for at least 6 months. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and do moderate lifting.
