Description

New Media Development Internship Opportunity Overview: Here's Life Inner City is the compassionate urban ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International. As a non-profit that recognizes the immense complexity of the causes, symptoms and solutions to inner-city poverty, Here's Life partners with inner-city churches that are committed to ministering to the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. Here's Life Inner City is looking to fill positions for our new media development internship program. The new media development internship is designed for sociology, journalism and other related majors, as it incorporates aspects of research, donor relations and new and social media. Interns will provide support to the development team, while working to spread the organizational message on platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Ping.fm. This is a unique opportunity to learn and refine development and new media skills, while working with a Christian organization that continues to make an impact in cities around the nation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: creating, monitoring and sustaining new and social media platforms on behalf of Here's Life Inner City, assisting the development department with day-to-day operations and working with staff on the creation and monitoring of new ways to spread public knowledge about Here's Life's nation-wide ministry activities.

Requirements

We are looking for highly motivated students who have an interest in inner-city poverty. In addition to this requirement, we are interested in individuals who have experience or interest in working with social and/or new media (including the use of blog platforms). In order to apply for the new media and development internship program you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an American college or university. Please send your resume and cover letter to Bill Hallowell, development manager, at bill.hallowell@ccci.org.
