Description

ASASS is a non-profit charity registered in Burundi by Christians in 2006. It has been registered by the notary service of Bujumbura and was licensed and certified as a Non-Profit Organisation (a.s.b.l) under Ordon¬nance number 530/077 of 03/02/2006 issued by the Ministry of the Interior and the Public Affairs according to Decree Law No 1/011 of 18 of April in 1992 for the Not profits Organization (asbl). Its operates various programs on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in East African communities focused on Healthcare, WASH, construction, teachers training and education, access to loans, safe drinking water, agriculture and environment preservation and prevention , technical vocation education and training (TVET), safe and suitable shelter, and access to information in rural area, and scholarships across the continent. ASASS implement a church programme with Ministries in East African Countries for empowered fellows, the poor people we care to be empowered spiritually. Currently, ASASS wants to have a European registered as non-profit charity to look after its programme development in that countries, expansion and center on resources mobilization (materials, technical, and financial), and encourage UK citizen to participate in its programmes in UK and abroad in Africa. To achieve that goal, ASASS is looking for a charity registered in the United Kingdom (UK) to represent ASASS by appointing 1-3 volunteers to form ASASS UK Person of Contact, a UK Representative Board (AURB). ROLE OF UK PERSON OF CONTACT AURB will volunteer online for ASASS within the Partner charity in UK. They will help to help ASASS on fundraising efforts on projects in Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. To do so, ASASS will establish Office for raising Grants which will search for contacts of international grant-making foundations, assess application criteria, read guidelines, write project proposals and or fill out the application forms. That office will submit completed application forms to the UK Representative Board /Person of Contact. The AURB is not paid; it is a board of volunteers for ASASS for a period defined by ASASS. The appointed volunteer must meet criteria of job defined by ASASS. The online volunteer representatives would research potential partners in UK and draft correspondence. ROLE OF UK PARTNER CHARITY The UK Partner charity/ foundation will collaborate with ASASS Burundi Team to integrate online Payment methods into ASASS website to start collecting funds for new and current projects in Burundi and in UK. The UK partner Charity ( Non-Profit registered charity in UK ) will collaborate with ASASS to submit application forms to the indentified grant-making Foundations in UK. The partner will receive Background information HOW IS RELATED TO YOUR NOG The task is related to our organization as we aim to expend in UK to raise fund to continue providing: 1. Basic facilities –Food, shelter, Water, Hygiene and sanitation 2. Health-community development and job training 3. Right access to secondary and higher education: Classrooms construction, furbish schools, teachers training, internship and scholarship. 4. Micro-financing-Providing loans to farmers and entrepreneurs: 5. Poultry farm and income generation 6. Education-Construction of classrooms, furbishing schools, offering scholarships to students, etc. 7.
