Urban ministry in an inner city environment working on renovation in an old historic church structure that will become the new home for Earthen Vessels Outreach. Youth groups, college groups or adult teams are welcome to come and volunteer in multiple areas of service. Housing and food may be available to those who come or alternative means planned. Areas of service include: housing renovation (painting, plastering, yard work, electrical, tiling, cleaning, plumbing (just to name a few)) tutoring and mentoring children prayer and worship with community living Website: evo-pgh.org Contact: marilynchaney@gmail.com Requirements: Volunteers come to the East End of Pittsburgh to the neighborhoods of Bloomfield, Garfield, East Liberty, Lawrenceville and Friendship. Construction skills needed include painting, drywall, general clean-up and completion of a building that has been undergoing renovation for the last 4 years. Small housing projects are also included as service needs.

Additional Detail

Earthen Vessels Outreach is located in a 12-bedroom house with a chapel and 2 kitchens. We live in community year round and are well suited for small groups to visit and participate in the urban ministry that we live in on a daily basis. We are highly relationally based and have been here 5 years. We are connected to Seeds of Hope Church, both are located on the east side of Pittsburgh, PA.
