Description

Waterleaf Women's Center, Inc. is currently searching for a grant writer to help our organization grow. Waterleaf is looking for someone who is willing to donate his/her time or be reimbursed through a modest stipend. Job Summary: The Grant Writer is responsible for the development, writing and submission of government, foundation and corporate grant proposals and reports. Responsibilities: Writes grant related letters of inquiry, applications, proposals, reports and correspondence. Conducts research on the availability of private and government funds, including the identification of new funding sources consistent with Waterleaf's existing and planned priorities. Assists in maintaining and implementing the grants schedule/calendar. Collaborates with program staff in creating compelling proposals. Leads and manages the grant preparation and submission process. Gathers and prepares all ancillary materials to accompany grants. Maintains grant related documentation and database records. Monitors trends and opportunities for grant development. Assists in Development team projects as requested.

Requirements

Job Qualifications: At least three years experience in successful grant writing. Superb writing skills. Excellent organizational and follow up skills. Ability to work in deadline-oriented environment. Ability to effectively multi-task. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency in industry-standard software programs.
