SFV General Volunteers provide companionship, assist with errands, work in member's homes, working one-on-one to provide assistance with activities of daily living. Further, volunteers may be assigned to assist at special events, workshops and classes in an administrative capacity, and at times act in a teaching capacity. For example, as a yoga or music instructor Responsibilities and Duties: Varied; grocery shopping, driving to doctor's appointments, companionship, event help, anything non-medical. Position: Office Volunteer Reports to: Volunteer Manager or Executive Director Location: 3575 Geary Description: Office volunteers are essential to the smooth operations of SF Village. They provide a variety of services on an as-needed basis (see below). Qualifications: Willingness to perform clerical duties; neat handwriting; good phone voice, organizational skills imperative. Responsibilities and Duties: Administrative, clerical; data entry, filing, checking refs on service providers, bulk mailings, pickup and delivery, errands, post office, office supplies, meeting prep, answer phones Requirements: A great attitude, willingness to learn at times, good listening skills, patience SFV training must be completed (including background check). Volunteers who teach workshops or classes must demonstrate their expertise (degrees, certificates, etc.)
