Description

We have a flourishing adult education program which offers GED (high school diploma equivalency) and ELL classes, free of charge to adult students in the evenings, Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are looking for additional co-instructor/mentor. The GED co-instructor/mentor will assist in teaching and creating lesson plans for a one hour class in reading, writing or math to be taught to adult learners for instruction sessions (1 hour per session). Qualifications: A commitment to principles of peace, social justice, reconciliation, and redemption The experience, or the desire to learn, in multi-cultural contexts A love for learning Dependability and faithfulness in completing assignments A spirit of teachability and team work Experience in working with adult learners A substantial level of expertise in their instruction topic Time commitment: Minimum of 3 hours weekly on assigned day (including prep)
