Extended Day Volunteer - Homeless Children, The Salvation Army, Cambridge, Massachusetts

 Description

The Salvation Army's Our Place Center for Homeless Children was the first licensed day care center for 
homeless children in Massachusetts.  Our Place helps families break the cycle of homelessness by providing a program 
that meets the educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of each family member.  While their children are 
enrolled, parents are able to work, seek housing, attend school, receive counseling, or attend parent workshops.

We need volunteers to help our teachers during our extended day program.  M-F from 3:30-6:30.

 Requirements 

Must have a desire to promote positive interactions with homeless children and eager to assist in their growth 
and development.  A pre-interview and background check is required prior to volunteering.
