Description

Live, serve, worship, learn and reflect as you live in intentional Christian community in Atlanta. Live together with young adults dedicated to living an authentic Christian life together in community and serve their neighbors. Each house team selects and serves in a neighborhood outreach specific to their context. Teams are formed for two neighborhoods in Central Atlanta, Grant Park and Capitol View. The dates below cover the Capitol View house.

Requirements

Atlanta will consider applicants between 20-34 years old. Applicants must demonstrate a mature Christian faith and a desire to serve in an Urban context. Each participant must raise a portion of their support or hold outside employment and contribute toward expenses monthly. Benefits and details of finances listed below.

Positions available are greatly varied. The following areas are needed; education, business, public policy, development, sociology, counseling, youth workers, data entry/administration, etc. Many interests can be utilized. Applications may be submitted past deadline but will be considered for only open positions. Applying early allows for consideration of applicants specific desires.

The following is an outline however, the community may determine the extent to which these are provided. Inquire about the specifics with the City Director. Costs/ Fundraising depend upon individual situation but all members contribute to the household and program expenses. Housing Utilities, including internet and land line phone Local newspaper Groceries purchased together as a team Local bus pass (or gas money of $75 per month) Health insurance Monthly stipend of $100 4-5 retreats in the year 8-12 books for reading and group reflection (sometimes there is access to a grant that helps to reimburse student loan payments)
