Description

Volunteeers are needed to help with demolition and rebuilding of a large old church building. It is anticipated that the total cost of renovation will be between $1.5 and $2 million. The project entails tearing out old plaster throughout the building, removing age old debris and stripping out any of the old that is not useful. Through the implementation of new architectual plans, a multi-purpose/sanctuary will be completed along with 12 classrooms, a full dining hall and catering equipped kitchen. The Pacific Sanctuary will serve as a faith-based recreation center and church for the local communities of the East End of Pittsburgh to include Garfield, Friendship, East Liberty, Lawrenceville and Bloomfield. Requirements: All volunteers are welcome, skilled and unskilled. Personal correspondence is recommended near the time of coming for the purpose of planning the specific activities to be accomplished.
