Job Description: The Objective of the Administrative Assistant Intern is to assist the executive director with office tasks as needed. Essential Functions 1) Answer all incoming calls during Office Hours 2) Assisting in sorting and organizing all incoming and outgoing mail and packages 3) Assists Executive Director with minor accounting activities as needed 4) Assisting the Food Director with verifying Food Inventory Levels 5) Making sure all employee and volunteer contact and address information is up to date 6) Managing Donor Contact Information Supervisory Responsibility There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position Work Environment The work environment of this job is an office Physical demands There are little to no physical demands for this position Expected Hours of Work Administrative Assistant Intern is considered a part-time job. Intern is expected to work Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Required Qualifications 1) Pursuing a college degree 2) Be Proficient in Word and Excel 3) Must be a problem solver 4) Must have excellent communication skills 5) Must be a born-again Believer Preferred Qualifications 1) At least six months working experience in an Office 2) Familiarity with Nonprofit Accounting or willing to learn 3) Be familiar with Microsoft Access or willing to learn Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1) Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check 2) Must be able to keep information entrusted strictly confidential Work Authorization 1) Must be authorized to legally work in the United States through E-Verify Other Duties Any other duties as assigned by Inside Out Leadership.   • Provides a work study internship with free tuition in City Vision College for a full year paid by hosting ministry.
  • Online courses providing accredited degrees in Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies, and Urban Missions.
  • Any Pell grant or other federal financial aid paid as cash payment to student (up to $5,645).
  • Expectation is typically 29 hours of volunteer work with 16 hours of class work per week (45 hours total).
  • For Interns with a Bachelors Degree: One Year Paid Internship, Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship or Technology Ministry Master's Fellowship One Year Paid Internship
  • Volunteer Interns paid a living stipend from $200-$600/month (depending on site).
  • Expectation is typically 40 hours of volunteer work per week.
  • Multi-Year Graduate Fellowship
  • Free tuition in Bakke Graduate University programs including MBA, Masters in Global Leadership or Social Entrenpreneurship or Doctorate in Ministry or Transformational Leadership
  • Some sites may provide an additional stipend for outstanding candidates.
  • Candidates may receive up to 6 hours of independent study credit based on practicum work at ministry site.
  • Supervised nonprofit or ministry experience interning 29 hours per week.
  • Technology Ministry Master's Fellowship Must have STEM (science, technology engineering or math) background
  • Free tuition in City Vision College's Master's Program in Technology and Ministry
  • Supervised technology and ministry experience as an intern or tech missionary
  • Candidates may receive up to 6 hours of independent study credit based on practicum work at ministry site (in select states)
  • Requirements
  • At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be a Christian
  • U.S., U.K. or Canadian citizen, U.S., U.K. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid student or work visa
  • Able to make at least a one year (or summer) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
  • Able to financially live on just free housing (and stipend if you opt for the One Year Paid Internship) and any outside income sources you have.
  • Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
