Mission Statement

The supreme mission of the church, and so also of every individual believer, is to glorify God and to serve Him forever (Eph. 3:21; Rom. 11:36; 1 Pet. 4:11). Therefore, if what we do as a church, or as individuals, cannot serve the glory of God, it should not be done. Our goals are to serve God and bring glory to Him. Certain God-ordained goals are established in Scripture for the church. These are basically set forth in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20).

Description

The Bible says that we need to worship God with other believers and be taught His Word for our spiritual growth. Victory in Christ is a place where believers can love, encourage, serve, instruct, honor, be kind and compassionate to one another. If you are searching for a people that understand and can accept you where you are and challenge you to grow in your reflection of God's love, search no further. You have tried things your way for years, now its time to try God's way for life. Give the Lord a chance to show you how living a life for Him can make all the difference. We invite you to explore our Father with us in faith, worship, fellowship and growth. Once again, Welcome!

Organizational Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures. The Divine inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility of the Holy Scripture. The Bible is composed of 66 books, 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament books, which comprise God's complete revelation to man. There are no other inspired writings from God. I personally preach and teach from the King James Version of the bible. 2. God. There is but one true and living God. He is the creator of the universe and all that is therein including man. Not only do the Scriptures teach that God is one, but they also reveal that God exists as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit that dwells within us, that came to abide with us forever and never leaves those who trust Him. 3. Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is without beginning or ending. He is eternal. His primary work was to reveal God to man and purchase man's salvation by His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. Please note the following doctrinal statements which I believe about Jesus Christ: A) The Deity of Jesus Christ (including His virgin birth), that without ceasing to be God, He became man in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. B) The vicarious, substitutionary atonement of Christ's death on the cross for all mankind, which is man's only hope of redemption. C) The literal, bodily (in the identical, though glorified, physical body in which He was crucified) resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. D) The literal (bodily & personal) future return of Christ in the Second Advent. 4. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a Spirit, not an impersonal force, and He is God. He has a multifaceted work which is to great to discuss here. However, in this dispensation, His work toward the unbeliever is to convict the sinner of sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. He will always point people to the person and work of Christ. He does not magnify Himself. 5. Salvation. Salvation is solely by the grace of God. The Lord Jesus Christ died and shed his blood according to God's gracious purpose to redeem a people to Himself. The new birth is an effectual work of God's grace which produces repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. The person that receives God's free gift of salvation is eternally secure in that salvation because it is God's not man's. Christ, on the cross, said "it is finished." 6. The Church. The Church is an organized congregation of immersed believers, associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel with The Divine appointment to fulfill the great commission 7. Ordinances of the Church. The ordinances of the church are Baptism by immersion in the water, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the LORD's Supper. 8. Satan. Satan is a real spirit (celestial being), not just a principle of evil. He has many names: "Satan", "Devil", "Beelzebub", "Belial", "Adversary", "Dragon", and "serpent". He was a created being. Before his fall he was known as the anointed cherub that covereth. Satan fell through pride. He wanted to be as powerful as God and take God's place as ruler of the universe. His fall is described in Isaiah 14:12-20. When he fell he drew a third part of the angels with him. These are now demons. 9. Premillennialism. The term Millennium means thousand years. Although the word is not mentioned in the Scripture, it refers to the thousand years mentioned six times in Revelation 20. There are three views of the Millennium: premillennialism, Amillennialism, and Postmillennialism. I believe in premillennialism, that is, that Jesus Christ will return and set up a kingdom in which He will rule the world from the throne of David for one thousand years. 10. The second coming of Christ is taught clearly in the Scriptures. It will be premillennial and pre-tribulational. That is, prior to the great tribulation also known as Daniel's seventieth week. 11. The Eternal State. After the passing away of the present universe and the judgment of the lost, the day of the LORD will end and will be followed by the Day of God. This day will continue forever (2 Peter 3:10-12). The eternal state will begin with the creation of a new universe and its order. Two aspects of the final state are the subjects or prophecy: the final state of the redeemed and that of the lost. Both of these states will last forever. The final state of the lost will be conscious torment and suffering in Hell forever. The final state of the redeemed will be eternal bliss in Heaven with God forever.
