Organizational Statement of Faith

Our ethos or motivation, and therefore our relationships, are rooted in our faith in Jesus Christ and in His love, which compels us to serve others. This faith directs and influences our internal relationships as well as our work with those who Umbrella from Woman to Woman is seeking to serve. Our activities are an outworking of our faith. We believe that: God is the Creator of all people – People matter God gives his best to us and sees the best in us despite our weaknesses and failings. There is no situation which cannot be transformed by God’s power and unconditional love God exists in community and he designed us to live and work in relationships We need to treat all people with respect and dignity No matter how bad things get God never gives up on us and he does not want us to give up on others – even if our resources are limited In the same way as God keeps his promises he wants us to be people of our word – integrity and authenticity are hallmarks of our lives. A strong, caring community should be the focus and aim of the work we do.
