Mission Statement

A Christ-centered Reconciliation Movement committed to the Spiritual and Social Freedom for India's Oppressed

Description

Truthseekers International ministers on several fronts. Our recent activities include: 1. Ongoing publishing work, disseminating the results of our research on India and the historical connection to monotheism and the Christian faith. This includes the publication and distribution of 10,000 copies of a New Testament paraphrase translated into a vernacular accessible to the average lower-caste Indian. 2. Operation of the Truthseekers Center in Delhi, a safe place for people from different castes (normally sworn enemies) to meet, fellowship, build relationships, share meals, and hear about Christ. 3. Reconciliation retreats for lower-caste leaders, which have so far involved more than 400 participants. 4. Intensive, ongoing outreach to the leaders of major castes and other reform groups. All told, Truthseekers is currently in relationship with caste and reform leaders who collectively represent over 250 million Indians. 5. Work with university students and other Indian thinkers and influencers. 6. Large rallies where the message of Truthseekers is presented. 7. Establishment of and support for neighborhood schools to educate OBC, Dalit, and tribal children who, while legally entitled to education in India, are usually left to fend for themselves. 8. Footwashing Rallies, where high-caste Indian believers and Westerners enter low-caste neighborhoods, share the love of Christ, and literally kneel down and wash the feet of men, women, and children who are otherwise considered to be polluters of higher-caste people.
