Mission Statement

Who we are - Vision and Mission Statement TSIS Vision Statement: Our vision is to provide an excellent education in an environment that encourages a vibrant Christian life and witness. TSIS Mission Statement: Our purpose is Christ-centred, quality, international, English-medium education of members’ school age children, in an affordable cost-effective manner.

Description

Our purpose is to meet the educational needs of our families enabling parent’s time to serve in Central Asia. TSIS is a member run school; recently members purchased a large parcel of land outside the city. We are praying for an April 2010 move to our new facilities that will accommodate 250 students. We plan to remain at 250, it is important to us to give the very best to our students. TSIS strives to retain its high academic standards, not to be the largest school. We are proud that 95% of our graduates go on to universities. Tien Shan International School is a non-profit NGO registered with the government as Tien Shan Education Center. One of the school's chief goals is to offer low cost education to its member families. To do this, the school recruits teaching, administrative, and support staffs that are able to pay their own way, through their personal retirement fund, support groups, or the organizations they belong. Though the school does not provide housing, pay travel costs, or offer salaries, it does provide in-country visa costs, transportation to and from school, small class sizes, daily lunch and continual staff in-service training. TSIS does offer an experience that will change your life and the lives of your students. For more information, please visit our website at www.tienshanschool.org

Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe: • The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the inspired Word of God, the infallible and only rule of faith and practice; • In one God eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; in God the Father Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe; in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ who is our personal Savior; in the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer; • In the substitutionary death of Christ as necessary for the payment of the sins of the world and in the historic fact of His bodily resurrection; • In the consummation of the Kingdom in the glorious appearing of the great God and Savior, Jesus Christ; • That all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are united as members of His Body, the Church.
