Mission Statement

Turning Teenagers into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Description

We deal with teenagers in high schools and primary schools and what we do mainly is to preach the gospel to them and disciple the ones who surrender their lives to Christ. We also involve ourselves in counseling, prayers, sports evangelism, music concerts and occasionally church planting and construction. Teens for Christ Kenya (TFC) was started in 2005 and is a registered non-profit making religious organization registered under the Societies Act of the government of Kenya with a divine mandate to reach and train our teenagers for the work of the Lord with a specific focus on holy living for teenagers; executing the great commission (Matthew 28: 19-20) with diligence and manifesting a life that has been impacted powerfully with the word of God. Over 50% of the population in Kenya consists of youth aged between 13 years and 24 years old. This age group is greatly influenced by new movements and the secular world, which has been swamped by all sought of media paraphernalia that is readily available to them. Kenya loses a great deal of teenagers to social vices such as HIV/AIDS, abortion, robbery, drug abuse and alcoholism, devil worship and occultism. This is destruction as most of the youth die from these vices without hope for eternal life in Jesus Christ. As a ministry we therefore decided to concentrate in evangelizing and discipleship of these teenagers so that they are not lost without any hope because Jesus died for them too. Our mission is turning teenagers into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ. Our vision is developing a generation to impact the world for Jesus Christ. These we do by concentrating on the core values that are listed below on a weekly basis in the schools that we go to. Currently by the grace of God we are reaching 146,667 teenagers in 420 schools spread all over Kenya with the gospel per week. The work we are doing is huge but when we look at what we have not done we are amazed.
