Mission Statement
We build lives by empowering families to play a major role in ending substandard housing, locally and globally; We build community by creating a network of partner families, volunteers and sponsors; We build homes in partnership with families in need of safe, decent, affordable housing.
Description
SWV HFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We serve low income families who need a home of their own in the southwest Volusia County cities of Orange City, Deltona, DeBary, Osteen and Enterprise. Habitat for Humanity is an international program that seeks to do away with substandard housing world wide. We are a partnership program that offers a hand up, not a hand out. Families help build their own home with other interested volunteers. Each monthly mortgage payment that they make to us on their home, then goes to build more homes for other needy families. Our office is located at Orange City United Methodist Church at 396 E University Av, Orange City, FL. Our hours are Mon-Fri 9 am to 3 pm. The office number is 386-774-1553. You can get more info either by calling the office or checking out our website.
