Mission Statement

The mission of the ministry is to provide life change through Biblical Principles and practical tools to reduce recidivism and incarceration.

Description

Second Chance provides a 10 week class that is given in the State Prison Complex. Classes are provided 1 night a week from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. This is hands on as we teach in the prison directly to the inmates. We teach inmates with less than 2 years from release. We teach primarily men in minimum security areas. We also provide Mentors for the inmates when they are released to come alongside, introduce them to a Church or Mens Bible Study, be there for someone to talk to, maybe some guidance or questions they may have. This would be a 6 month committment. We provide any training that is required.

Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, Lord and Creator of the Universe. The father, son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is God's authoritative and inspired words. We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. Justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone. We believe in one Holy Church. We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit for the individual's new birth and growth to maturity. We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion.
