Our mission is to provide a concrete example of Christ's love, by offering shelter, refreshments, clothing and referrals for needy women in a peaceful and compassionate homelike atmosphere.
Mission Statement
Sancta Maria House is a 10-bed shelter for homeless women in the South End of Boston, with more than 3,000 women staying overnight each year. It is drug-free and alcohol-free. Women can stay for 7 nights from 7 pm to 8 am each month. We have been in operation for 37 years, and are run entirely by volunteers with only private funding. We offer a safe haven with nourishment for body and soul.
