The mission of SALT is “to be a blessing to the Somali community and local church by bringing Somalis and Americans together in language learning and friendship.” This is accomplished through English classes and one on one tutoring. Somali Adult Literacy Training (SALT) is a relational ministry bringing the Good News to Somalis while teaching English and citizenship. With sites around the metro SALT is creating cultural bridges and providing a valuable resource to its community - English. Spend one night a week sharing your life and English with students of all ages.
