Organizational Statement of Faith

NYCR's mission is accomplished when we: * Mobilize compassionate outreach to bring a lifeline of hope to the homeless, poor, and oppressed by connecting them to community resources to meet their needs * Provide a platform that equips churches and people of faith to personally engage in the struggle against poverty, hopelessness, and oppression * Partner with other outreaches, churches, and organizations to serve the poor, addicted, and abandoned Matthew 25:35-36 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Isaiah 58:6-7 Is this not the kind of fasting I have chosen: Â…to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter, when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
