Description

The Queensland University (UQ) was established in 1996 as a Research center and Christian Higher Education (CHE), co-educational institution of higher learning whose primary mission is to integrate Christian Faith and practice with academic excellence. Begun with his first school named: Faculty of Agronomy and Environmental Sciences (FAES) of Queensland University. Queensland has always been an exciting, dynamic institution, never fearing to change as necessary. Across its history this Christ-centered, mission driven institution always explored and embraced new ways to serve new cohorts of students. Consider Queensland?s history. Just as water is a basic necessity of life, Queensland University believes that a growing, maturing relationship with Jesus Christ, creator of knowledge, is an essential part of living the Christian life. Queensland University provides students opportunities to grow closer to God as they pursuer their academic interest and Professional Development. This mission grows from principles articulated by his Founder. The supreme purpose of the school shall be to teach the Bible as the revealed will of God to man and to train those who attend in a pure Bible Christianity. Such other branches of learning may be added as will aid in the understanding and teaching of the scriptures and as will promote usefulness and good citizenship among men.

Organizational Statement of Faith

Queensland University (Statement of Faith) We believe the Scriptures to be the inspired word of God. We believe that there is one God,eternally existent in three (3) persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus to be the true Son of God, born of a virgin, dying on the cross, resurrected from the dead as the sacrifice of our sin. Man was created in the image of God but was marred by sin by disobedience of our first parents and is now born with a nature inclined to sin. Atonement for sin is received by repentance, belief, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through the Lordship of Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit is able to equip believers to live a holy and effective life. Our Lord will return, the dead will rise, and final judgment will take place. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender and class differences
