Mission Statement

Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy, a Catholic Elementary School, provides a Christian atmosphere in which Gospel values of peace, justice, and love are presented and encouraged. Founded in January 2008, Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy provides academic distinction, cultivates respect for all people, and promotes unity and reconciliation within all aspects of learning. Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy provides educational opportunities for children of a multitude of ethnic and religious backgrounds. At our school, students' families represent more than fifty different countries. We view education in terms of message, community, worship, and service. The students and faculty are inspired to appreciate the faith in their lives, to understand community in a global as well as local sense, to experience personal and communal prayer, and to realize the service to others is basic to the gospel message of Jesus.

Description

Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy serves the greater Boston area and draws students from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, which gives the school a unique mix that reflects the rich variety of contemporary America. In ministering to this community our faculty has a responsibility to foster, by both word and example, Christian values which mirror the belief in the special dignity given to each person by Jesus Christ. We view academic excellence as an achievable goal for all the students as each one learns and grows according to individual talents. We believe that the total education of each student necessitates an active collaboration with both parents and our parishes. Our faculty has two primary goals: To teach our students to grow as Christian disciples and to teach them to think with a critical mind. It is our hope that our students will use their knowledge and their talents in service to others. In doing this, they echo the underlying message we wish to impart: In today's world, the loving, good person, even alone, can and will make a difference. HOURS OF OPERATION (MON-FRI): Before School: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. School Day: 7:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. After School: 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
