Mission Statement

Pacific Intercultural Exchange is a non-profit organization that works with the U.S. Department of State to placed high school students from around the world in U.S. homes/schools for one school year to promote democracy and cultural understanding.

Description

We currently have 16 students that are assigned to N. Florida and S. Georgia who are in need of loving families to extend their home to a foreign exchange student for the 2010-2011 school year. They come from countries such as: Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Korea, China, Venezuela and Morocco. Some are on scholarship. These students have many interests including competitive sports, arts and music. They are students of good standing and speak English. I am a teacher and host family member and I can attest that having an exchange student in my home was so valuable to my children. They learned a wealth of information and lifelong friends. We have visited the countries that our exchange students hare from and the overall experience has been incredible.
