In 1984, The Idaho Foodbank was created by a group of dedicated individuals who recognized the need for a statewide organization to fight hunger in Idaho. Today The Idaho Foodbank is the single largest distributor of food in Idaho. It is responsible for providing food to over 200 non-profit agencies statewide - from small food pantries in isolated communities to well-known national organizations in cities. Through the coordinated efforts of The Idaho Foodbank, soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters are able to serve hope to children, seniors and families - 365 days a year.
