This City Vision College internship position will assist with the daily operations of a rescue
mission. Duties may include assisting in the counseling of homeless individuals and those suffering from
substance abuse, ensuring the safety of those inside the mission, assisting with food preparation and
service, and assisting with the management and maintenance of the building facilities.
A typical day of work for the Rescue Mission Worker involves working with the rescue mission staff
to ensure that the mission's programs operate successfully and that those who the mission serves
remain safe, warm, and well-fed.
Requirements
Requirements: at least 18 years old; high school degree or working toward equivalent (GED); must a
U.S. citizen, U.S. national or lawful permanent resident alien in US or have a valid student visa.
To fulfill this requirement, students with no current involvement with a rescue mission or other
approved organization may participate in a one-year "on-the-job" training experience. Interns are
assigned to training missions that are members in good standing of the Association of Gospel Rescue
Missions, or to other approved ministries.
