Description

The ideal candidates would be working directly with one to two Geographic Team Leaders as well as providing hands-on experience with the non-profit and social services sectors. And this opportunity will allow the candidate the flexibility to work around his/her personal schedule and through mostly virtual (telecommuting) means. Basics of the job description are as follows (these can be split up among 2-3 individuals): **Assist Team Leaders in facilitating group meetings on a regular basis (6 times a year at minimum) including setting up for meetings, preparing agendas, making copies, ensuring logistics for meetings are taken care of, etc. **Work with Team Leaders in coordinating service projects in a specific geographic area and/or partner with other groups doing service projects in the area to fulfill CFPÃ?????????s mission of Ã?????????Networking Local Faith-Based Outreach Ministries.Ã????????? **Assist Team Leaders in IDÃ?????????ing churches and ministries in assigned geographic area and encourage them to attend monthly meetings and get involved in ongoing service projects. **Using attendance records, email inquiries, and phone contacts, encourage groups and individuals attending meetings but not yet CFP Members to join CFP. **Add individuals to the CFP and Team email list who indicate they want to receive email updates. **Keep the church databases in assigned geographic area current and updated on an ongoing basis. **Assist the CFP Program Manager in updating CFP Member Information Database. **Assist Team Leaders in keeping files, documents, etc, including committee meeting notes, agendas, etc. **Assist the CFP Board with tasks related to the annual Small Ministries Forum as needed (held annually in May) **Other duties as needed or necessary.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable with in-person, telephone, and email communication. Basic knowledge of computers required including at least proficiency in MSWord and Excel. A desire to work in social services or not-for-profits a plus! Because most volunteer work will be done from off-site, it is necessary that the volunteer either have a computer with internet connection, or consistent access to such. Individuals successful in this position come from backgrounds in the following areas: Social Work, Sociology, Communication, Management, and related. Estimated Hours: **Minimum of 10, Maximum of 25
