New Hope Counseling Ministry, Garden Grove, California

New Hope is a 24-hour counseling ministry sponsored by the Crystal Cathedral. All counselors are volunters, trained and supervised by professional staff, who serve from their home or at the church campus in Garden Grove, CA. Most volunteers serve one four-hour shift every one to two weeks. Training can be completed at home or on the church campus and focuses on relational and spiritual development issues like empathy, listening, basic counseling, grief, setting boundaries, faith in suffering, and how to pray for others.

Mission Statement: We at the New Hope Counseling Ministry are a Christ-following community of trained volunteers commissioned by the Crystal Cathedral to draw strength from the love of God and one another in order to overflow with the compassion of Christ by listening to, encouraging, and praying for hurting people from around the world who reach out for help through our 24-hour hotline, private chat room, and teenline.
