Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures were written by chosen men of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and so constitute in their entirety the inerrant word of God. We receive the Bible, therefore, as sole and final authority in regard to Christian Life and Doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Matt. 22:31-32) We believe in one Sovereign, Eternal God eternally existing in three Co-eternal and Co-equal persons, identified for us in Scripture as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one in substance and in all attributes and perfection of the Godhead. (Deut. 6:4, Isa. 44:6, Isa. 45:18, John 6:27, Rom. 1:7, Gal. 1:1, John 8:54-58, Acts 5:3-4) We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man who took upon Himself a complete and perfect humanity in the incarnation; that He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified as a sacrifice for sin and a substitute for sinners; that He was raised personally and bodily from the dead, and that He ascended to Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in intercession for the saints. We accept Jesus Christ as KING of kings, HEAD of the church and SAVIOR & LORD of all. (Isa. 9:6, Luke 1:34-35, 2 Cor. 5:20-21, Heb. 10:10-14, Luke 24:1-7, Luke 24:51-53) We believe in the Holy Spirit who is living, personal and divine, having no personal inferiority to the Father and Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life and gifts to every true believer; that He fills those who are submitted to His will, and motivates, activates, and empowers believers in their service for God and for Holy living. We believe that in this present age it is also the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict men of their sins and woo them to Christ. (Acts 5:3-4, John 16:13, Eph. 5:18, 1 Cor. 12:4-11, John 16:7-11) We believe in the perpetual and continuing value of all spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ until the end of this Church Age, which will be consummated by the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 12:4-11, 1 Cor. 13:8-13). We believe that man was created directly by God without sin and in the Image and Likeness of God; that man fell through disobedience and willful sin, and so came under the condemnation of God. We believe that man is depraved in that every part of his person has been affected by sin, he has a bias toward sin, he has an innate enmity toward God, and he cannot in any way free himself from sin and it's condemnation and therefore needs to be saved by action other than his own. (Rom. 3:21-26, Rom. 5:6-10, Rom. 6:23, Rom. 10:11-13) We believe that salvation has been provided by the grace of God through the substitutionary death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that it is a gift of God that must be personally excepted through faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone! and that the one who is justified is absolved of all guilt through remission of sin, and so shall never come into condemnation, but has passed from death unto life. (Eph. 2:8-9, 2 Tim. 1:8-10) We believe, teach and practice the ordinances of believers baptism and the Lord's supper. We believe that the water baptism of the believer is symbolic of our burial with Christ through immersion and our resurrection with Christ at the point of being raised up from the water. We do not believe that water baptism, the Lord's Supper or any other works are to be regarded as a means to salvation. (1 Cor. 11:23-26, Matt. 28:19-20) We believe that every individual Christian has an obligation to bear witness to the saving gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make this gospel known to the inhabitants of the whole world. (Matt. 28:18-20, Mark 16:15) We believe that the word of God and the indwelling Spirit of God works progressively in the heart and life of the believer effecting purity and true holiness of thought, word and deed as the individual submits himself to the working of God. (Rom. 12:1-2, 2 Pet. 1:2-9, Gal. 5:22-26) We believe in the real existence of Holy Angels. They can appear in human form, and at least two categories of Angelic beings, Seraphim and Cherubim, have wings. Holy Angels are sinless and sexless beings, although many have taken on human appearances as men. Bible says they do not marry or produce children; But they walk, talk and even eat. Three classes of angels are identified for us: Cherubim (Ezk. 1:5-14), Seraphim (Isa. 6:3), and Living Beings (Rev. 4:14). Michael is described as the Archangel and Gabriel is described as the Chief Messenger. (Matt. 1:20-23, Mark 16:5, Luke 24:4, Zach. 5:9, Rev. 4:6-8, Ezk. 1:5-8, Isa. 6:2-6, Dan. 9:21, Luke 1:19, Matt. 22:28-30, Gen. 18:1-9, 2 Pet. 2:11, Rev. 9:14-15, Heb. 1:14, Luke 2:13, Dan. 4:13-17, Psalm 89:6-7, Rev. 12:7, Luke 1:11-12, Luke 1:26-29); We also believe in the real existence of satan, who coordinates and motivates opposition against the Kingdom of God, and the real existence of demons/unclean spirits. These unclean spirits followed satan in his revolt against God (Matt. 12:24, Rev. 12:7). The existence of these unclean ones is affirmed at least ten times in the Old Testament and by every writer in the New Testament except the author of Hebrews. (Mark 1:23-28, Matt. 8:28-34, Matt. 15:21-28, Matt. 17:14-21, Mark 9:14-29, Matt. 12:22, Luke 13:10-17, Matt. 9:32-34). We believe in the Pre-tribulational Rapture of the Church, In that every born again believer will be raptured (Latin: Raptus; Greek: Harpazo), suddenly removed and snatched out of the world before the period of the great tribulation when God will pour out His judgements and wrath on the unsaved. (1 Thess.4:15-18, 1 Cor. 15:51-53, Titus 2:13, John 14:1-3, Rev. 3:10, 1 Thess. 1:10,1 Thess. 5:9). We believe in the personal and imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ after the period of the seven year tribulation. At the time of the Rapture He shall return for his saints, But at the time of the second coming He shall return with His saints to "make war with the nations" and set up His kingdom. (Rev. 19:11-20). We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men; that of the saved to enjoy everlasting blessedness in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that of the unsaved to a conscious existence in everlasting death and torment in the lake of fire. (2 Cor. 5:10, Luke 19:11-27, 1 Cor. 3:11-14, Rev. 20:11-15). http://www.mynewharvest.org/WhatWeBelieve.dsp
