Mission Statement
Our mission is to obey the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by investing our lives, gifts, resources, and vocational skills in God's work throughout Asia and Europe. We commit ourselves personally and corporately to the Word of God, to prayer, and to worship. We seek to model Christ so that the peoples of the world will come to worship and glorify His Name. Vision for Ministry: ? We band together as a company of evangelicals called, in God's grace, to a vital role in missions. ? We champion the potential of lay people and create a channel for ministry by recruiting, training, placing, facilitating, and caring for them. ? We work with other Christians, both internationally and interdenominationally. ? We focus on making disciples primarily among unreached peoples. ? We minister cross-culturally to serve or plant reproducing churches. ? We gain access to unreached people groups by responding to both physical and spiritual needs. We utilize a variety of flexible and creative strategies such as tentmaking and community development.
Description
Foundational Values of Mission to Unreached Peoples A. We rely on the authority of the Word of God as the standard for life and ministry. B. We are called to prayer as a lifestyle. C. We are passionate about God and His mission and are proactive in fulfilling the Great Commission through communicating the Gospel and discipling all peoples through both word and deed. D. We are committed to cooperation with like-minded believers throughout the world. E. We are focused primarily on reaching unreached people groups for Christ and committed to establishing His church among all peoples. F. We are called to champion the potential of the entire body of Christ and create a channel for their ministry. G. We are called to honor all ministries and functions equally. We do not recognize a dichotomy between sacred and secular. No roles or functions in the body of Christ are more "spiritual" than others, but everything done in obedience to God is spiritual. H. We value working in teams whenever and wherever possible whether working together internally or partnering with others. I. We are committed to member care as a priority throughout the organization. J. We recognize the role of servant leadership and we affirm our accountability to those with the responsibility to lead. K. We practice participatory management and believe that planning and decision making are not to be exercised exclusively by the leaders in isolation, but rather to involve many participants working through the process in collaboration and unity. L. We are visionary, doing new things in new ways where new conditions are required to accomplish the Great Commission. We are called to go into all the world, focusing on the unfinished task. M. We are international and broadly interdenominational, encompassing believers across the wide evangelical and charismatic spectrum. N. We are called to practice a dependence on God for financial provision both individually and corporately. We recognize it comes through God's people and their businesses. O. We value community development in order to relieve the burdens of poverty and to enable poor people to make spiritually, culturally and environmentally appropriate choices in response to God's Word. P. We are called to value each individual, all races, male and female. We believe every person has unique gifts, talents, and callings. Variety and diversity are positive factors in ministry. Q. We are called to model multi-cultural diversity and interdependence within the Body of Christ by developing international teams with Biblical instead of western values.
