Mission Statement

This group is comprised of individual volunteers, (missionaries) whose primary focus is to be the hands and feet of JESUS. We are the bible in action. In effect, we are all homeless... Earth is not our home, our home is in Heaven. We minister, witness, feed, love, care, pray for, and talk with the homeless living in downtown Indianapolis. We are showing the love of Christ through our actions and giving them hope by letting them know that, not only do we love and care for them, but that they also have a Father in Heaven who loves them even more.

Description

Do you have heart for the homeless? Do you have compassion for the less fortunate? Do you have a servant's heart? Love can make a powerful difference in this world, and isn't that what God told us to do? "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." NIV John 13:34-35. Proverbs 28:27 says, "He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses." Matthew 25:40 "The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these, you did unto me. Our non-profit group is dedicated to aiding those less fortunate who live on the streets. We meet weekly to feed and clothe the homeless and to spread GOD's unconditional love. It's all about the love. Our goal is to let them know about the love of JESUS and that they matter to HIM. Glory to GOD.

Organizational Statement of Faith

So many people ignore the homeless, partly because they believe there is little they can do to “fix” them. And they are absolutely right. In fact, it is not God’s intention that we “fix” them any more than it is His intention that they “fix” us. Jesus tells us that we are one body in Christ. Everyone -- rich, poor, every race, every age -- has a legitimate role to play in that body. We may go to a homeless camp or an orphanage or a rest home with the intention of helping someone else, but ultimately, we will be helping each other grow together into the body Christ envisioned from the beginning of time. Our commonalities become striking when we knock down the false boundaries we have thrown up around our love. Think about it: every Christian is spiritually homeless. We live in temporary shelters, however modest or grandiose, waiting to take our places in the Lord’s mansion. 1 Sam. 2:8 He lifts the poor from the dust-- Yes, from a pile of ashes-- And treats them as princes sitting in the seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lord's And he has set the world in order.
