Maisha International Orphanage (MIO) is a nonprofit humanitarian organization operating as a project of Congressional District Programs (CDP), a 501c3 whose purpose is to Encourage Philanthropy by empowering people to help people. Maisha is formed in response to the HIV/AIDs epidemic and other diseases ravaging Africa. We are committed to meet the basic human needs and neccessities of children left orphaned or destitute by these diseases, who are left to be the breadwinners of their families. Today Maisha is making an impact to the lives of more than 200 children in Kisumu,Kenya.
