Light of Faith Ministries: Project LIFT, Houston, Texas

Light of Faith Ministries: Project LIFT Houston (Life and Independence for Tomorrow) is a non-profit faith-based organization dedicated to serving adult drug and alcohol dependent, homeless and ex-offenders in Houston, Texas. Our services include providing free emergency services such as shelter, food, clothing, counseling, transitional housing, professional medical and dental services. Project LIFT Houston further provides long-term residential substance abuse rehabilitation programs including education, job assessment, training and placement, and jail intervention programs. We also provide confidential and emergency services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Through participation in educational workshops and mind/body programs, chemically and alcohol dependent, homeless and ex-offenders can learn vital skills to re-enter society, restore hope regardless of the length of time being non-productive. Our programs and services improve the ability of this target population to achieve goals of self-sufficiency. All services and programs are free of charge.

Mission Statement: The mission of Project LIFT Houston is to provide hope, improve the quality of life for children, families, and adults who face various obstacles to independence and support their efforts to achieve and sustain self sufficiency.
