Mission Statement

To know International Teams, is to know our values We identify with the lostness of the world. We ourselves are utterly lost apart from the grace of Jesus. Faith is more than a decision. The call to follow me means transformed people building transforming communities. God values one person. We value one person. Without limit. We will go to extraordinary measures to bring the present and future hope of GodÂ’s kingdom to each one. We believe the Church is GodÂ’s agent to reach the world. Really. Therefore, we are profoundly committed to the local church in its mission. There are no marginalized people in GodÂ’s kingdom. Never is the gospel of reconciliation more clearly demonstrated than when hearts of hatred are turned to love. We want to be there before and long after the big campaign rolls through town. We want to build deep and long-term. We are relational and strategic, living among those we serve. God is both dangerous and good. Following him is a risk-taking adventure, dependent on a miraculous God. We believe in people coming from everywhere, going to everywhere. Missions belongs to the whole world. We are an interdenominational Christian, evangelical ministry living out worship and service to God from our wide range of backgrounds and styles. We partner easily, significantly, and across a wide range of co-workers. We work in teams. Expressive worship of the living God is humanityÂ’s highest calling and ultimate end. We do it with joy, as often as we can. Fail Forward!!!

Description

We bring people together to help the oppressed. Founded in 1960, International Teams is an interdenominational, evangelical Christian ministry that sends 1200 missionaries from over 50 different nations to minister in over 60 countries on 200 multicultural teams. We want to continue the work of Jesus in bringing hope, dignity and wholeness to victims of economic, physical and spiritual oppression. We believe we are uniquely positioned to create "Missional Partnerships" that bring together churches, businesses, and schools together to help the oppressed. We want to see lives and entire communities transformed by the power of God.

Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit was born of the virgin Mary, was true God and true man existing in one person and was without sin. We believe in His representative and substitutionary sacrifice, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, His present life as Lord of all, High Priest and Advocate, and His personal return in power and glory. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand and apply the Scriptures, empowers them for godly living and equips them for service and witness. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original documents, fully trustworthy, and the final authority in all matters of Christian faith and life. We believe that each member of the human race is fallen, sinful and lost; that the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only ground for forgiveness of sins and justification to all who receive Him by faith; and that only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can they become children of God. We believe the one, holy, universal Church is the body of Christ, composed of all regenerate people. This redeemed community worships God and seeks to proclaim the Good News to all people. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
