Mission Statement


IPOBC strives to impact the lives of blind and visually impaired children and their families by instilling positive attitudes about blindness, encouraging education for both parents and children, promoting literacy through Braille instruction, teaching self-advocacy, facilitating life-long independence and developing a network of mentors.

Description


Resources, education and support are provided to parents through literature, socialization, peer support and leadership programs, enabling them to become better advocates for their children. We seek to provide an array of activities which will enable our children and families to grow academically, socially, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
