Description

Founded in 2005, Imani Agape Children's Home was built in direct response to the rising number of HIV infected and affected children born in Africa every day. The hardest hit by HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa are the middle aged mothers and fathers, who are primary caregivers for the elderly and young. As a result, there has been an explosion in the number of orphans in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as elderly who are left destitute when their wage earner/caretaker die. To counteract these forces, which are forecasted to destabilise African Society, Pastor Liston conceived the Imani Agape Children's Home, recognising the HIV/AIDS and non AIDS orphans in Kenya. Imani Agape receives no government support and relies on the generosity of others. We would like to welcome friends/visitors from all corners of the world to come to spend a some time playing with children. You may even bring food, decorations or gifts, and maybe even adopt some of the children if it?s something you?re serious about doing. Without the goodwill of our friends, there would be no Imani Agape Children's Home, and it would remain a dream.

Organizational Statement of Faith

We Believe: 1) In the verbal inspiration of the Bible and that it is the complete and only Word of God. 2) In one God eternally existent and manifest in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I John 5:7. 3) That Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God, that he was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and born of the virgin Mary, that he was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead, ascended into Heaven and is now on the right hand of the throne of God. 4) That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is necessary for forgiveness of sins and that this comes only through and by the blood of Jesus. 5) In sanctification and holiness according to the dictates of God's Holy Word, which comes about as a result of the Holy Spirit's work in our lives, based on our faith in the finished work of Christ. 6) In the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. 7) In water baptism by immersion according to the Biblical standard. 8) Divine Healing is part of the Atonement. 9) In the ordinances of the Lord's Supper and the washing of the Saints' Feet. 10) In the rapture of the church and the premillennial second coming of Christ: and in the millennial reign of Christ upon the Earth. 11) In the bodily resurrection: the righteous into life eternal and the wicked into eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire
