Mission Statement

We are committed to Evangelizing the youth generation near major population centers, discipling them, and training them to continue the Great Commission as they establish non-facility dependent (NFD) churches. We believe this youth generation can complete the Great Commission if won, guided, trained and supported. We are a part of an international effort to touch 1 million young people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ every year through exciting and innovative camp experiences.

Description

Highlands Camp of Mexico is a 40 acre fully functioning Christian camp that can facilitate 400 campers. We use the camp experience in order to reach the young people in masses with the Gospel. All our campers arrive on full scholarships so there is no hinderances for anyone who wants to come. We believe if we are going to produce Christian leaders with a world vision for lost souls to continue the living and administrating the Great Commission than we need to win the masses. From there we continue with edification through discipleship and cell groups, that ultimately lead to church plants and the Kingdom of God being expanded. The first step is critical in this whole process - winning the lost. Our attractive, well-furnished camp facilities allow us to bring a program that immediately engages the young person and captures his/her attention. Once we have them engaged physically (games, food, facilities) we engage them emotionally with music that has a message, dramas, and videos. All of this leading to the privilege to share God's Word with them that their spirit might become engaged also.

Organizational Statement of Faith

This ministry is organized and directed by Independent Baptist Missionaries. We are evangelistically motivated and Kingdom directed. We work with other evangelistic ministries, that are not necessarily Baptist. We do not promote ministries of healing or speaking in tongues, that is best left up to the local pastors we work with as to how they will handle those issues. Our focus is on Salvation by faith and not of works, it is a free gift from God, that can be received as one recognizes that they are a sinner in need of a Saviour and His name is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. We believe that the Scriptures are inspired by God and perfect. They not only contain truth, but they are truth, and that if He can inspire them, He can preserve them for us today in any individual's native tongue. We believe in a literal heaven and hell, and the enemy is the devil. We believe that Baptism is necessary for continued spiritual growth, but not for salvation. The local church is God's chosen vessel for stewardship of His word today, not a universal church. The two ordinances of the local church are Baptism and Lord's Supper.
