Mission Statement

Mission Statement GabrielÂ’s Horn of Justice Ministry, was formed on March 13, 2008, because we saw a need for the women in Texas Department of Criminal Justice, who were and still are limited to housing upon release. Also, there has been such a return to prison for these women due to lack of mentoring before leaving prison and no follow up after release. We also go into prisons to minister to these women, and there is such a need for more ministries with a passion for these inmates. Our intent is to provide housing, spiritual awakening, clothing, food, state identification documents, help apply for lost social security card, resumes, basic computer knowledge and counseling to aid them on their re-entry back into society, to become an asset to their communities, by knowing that there is a better life than living a life of crime. Also, provide school clothing for those inmates who have children of school age, and care packets for the Inmates in accordance with the rules of the prisons. We also educate family members to know the specific signs of manipulation of these ex-offenders and how to handle these situations with as less confrontation as possible. We also need the inmates to be able to interact with their children, before they return home. We believe it is our duty as Christians to make a difference in our society as well as in our communities. So, we adhere to the commission of Jesus to go into the prisons to minister and to give aide to those ladies.

Organizational Statement of Faith

Our Vision as well as our Mission is that of Luke 4; "The Spirit of Lord is upon me, because He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
