Description

From 2001 to 2006, F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc. provided GED, Tutoring, College Prep, Computer, and limited ESL classes to low-income and homeless youth and adults at the Washington Activity Center (Mesa, Arizona) with only individual contributions and in-kind donations. The evening classes of 5-10 students were 2-hours for 10 weeks with Saturday morning reserved for tutoring. Also, we served as the fiscal agent to help the Center procure 10 computers from Motorola for the program. In the latter part of 2007, F.A.I.T.H. Ministries, Inc. relocated to Casa Grande and created the Waiting to Excel Education Center to provide Adult Education & GED classes and K-12 tutoring free to low-income and homeless families in Pinal County. Our classes are taught by certified teachers two days a week, both morning and evening 3-hour classes. Our students made educational advancements in addition to acquiring their GED. Through our F.I.N.E.R. (Family In Need Emergency Resource) Services organization, we provide rental/mortgage and utlity assistances, in addition to other housing support services.

Organizational Statement of Faith

The following is what we at F.A.I.T.H. Ministries believe, teach, and live: We believe that God exists as three persons in one: the Father (God), the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost (the Comforter). We believe that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ who is the expressed living manifestation of the written Word of God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the prophesied Messiah, that He lived and walked the earth, was crucified, has risen from the dead, and that He now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for all who are called by His name. We believe that mankind must be born-again by believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth the Lord Jesus, that they might be saved. We believe that in order to lead an effective and powerful life of righteousness, a believer must be filled with the Holy Ghost, and that God will provide a real, living, and physical manifestation of the Holy Ghost’s infilling. We believe that you must “eat the whole roll” of the Word of God but must study to discern literal meaning from figurative meaning and to put everything within its proper cultural and historical context. “Any text without context is a pretext.” (Dr. Ann McGraw) We believe that marriage was created by God, is ordained by God, only exists between one man and one woman, and that all practices outside of this is sin and an abomination against God. We believe that all are welcomed into God’s Kingdom, as such as He foreknew and ordained to be set apart for His service, and are allowed to hold office and serve as leaders in the church, as long as the fruit in their lives bear witness of a life of righteousness in Christ. We believe that believers should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, but acknowledge that the true church does not consist of walls and buildings, but lies within the heart and being of every believer, so that wherever we are, there also is God’s church.
