Mission Statement

Our fundamental beliefs We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Description

Eikon is a grace-space where far from perfect people come to connect with each other and with God. It's for people to discover and grow at their own pace; to ask questions, to seek. Our gatherings are very casual, so wear whatever you want. We start things at about 11am. The content of each Sunday is varied, though usually consists of some combination of an interactive trivia quiz, worship (various forms and styles), and a good share from Tony, the lead pastor...and most importantly, a chill group of people interested in honest dialogue and sincere relationships as we all earnestly seek more from this life, faith, and God. Our venue is relaxed and inviting. We meet at the Dominion Cinema in Morningside, there are leather couches and a warm atmosphere in cinema 2. Before you come in stop by the cafe and get yourself a tea or coffee. Kids are absolutely welcome, though Eikon Mini is a fairly small group, so if you wanted to drop us a quick note to let us know you'll be bringing wee ones, that'll help us make sure we have everything ready for them.
