Mission Statement

To provide social services that are life-sustaining (such as food) and educational training through literacy skills, computer skills, and vocational training along with community resources to better coordinate the needs of a rural community. (ECCRC tailors its services to fit the needs of the local rural areas.)

Description

ECCRC is a community non-profit community resource center that provides services for several types of needs for area families. It has a food bank that has served up to 500 persons each year. It provides educational workshops such as basic computer workshops. It offers self-help programs such as serving as an official site for a local AA group along with being registered as an official SRS Access site. ECCRC partners with many area social service agencies to coordinate services and to refer clients to assist them in seeking and finding the help they need. ECCRC has recently purchased a van to better serve the local rural area through limited transportation services and hauling serices (such as groceries to shut-ins). ECCRC provides enrichment programs for youth such as Robotics Computer workshops for youth and by seeking to start such programs such as the JR. Red Cross. ECCRC also offers an annual CPR Training course in partnership with a local hospital. ECCRC helps small businesses work on grant and loan paperwork as well as help them with PR & marketing (free of charge).
