Mission Statement

The purpose of Christian Women's Job Corps (CWJC) is to provide in a Christian context in which women in need are empowered and equipped for life and employment, to move from dependency to self- sufficiency and a missions context in which women help women. Sidenote: most of the women we work with are homeless and it takes approximately 2 years to become self sufficient

Description

Our CWJC site holds computer, bible studies, life skills classes. We use mentor to work one on one with each of our women. We also take need assessments in our community, social agencies, and corporations so that we can meet the needs of our area. We celebrate each accomplishment of our women. We use volunteers to go into the communities where our women live to reach out to their neighbors also, by mowing yards, handing out popsiciles. We also use volunteers to take the children of our women fishing at a local ocean pier. Life skills classes include but not limited to: parenting, budgeting, successful dressing, building relationships, dealing with confrontations positively, time management, planning nutritional meals

Organizational Statement of Faith

We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the Word of God. Salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and empowering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living.
