Mission Statement

Mission Statement To Worship – reach up To Evangelize – reach out To Disciple – reach in We exist to witness to the lives of millions of hurting people; we want each individual to discover the knowledge of Jesus’ love for all of humanity. In order to achieve this vision we believe that God has called and enabled Renaissance Outreach Ministries to operate in the Fivefold Ministry Gifts as listed in Ephesians 4:11-16 (i.e., Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers). We also believe in the operation(s) of the gifts of the Spirit listed in 1Corithians 12:7-10. Renaissance Outreach Ministries will endeavor to be: A Praying Ministry where seeking God in prayer empowers individuals and sets the tone for our conduct in both individual and corporate settings. An Open and Friendly Ministry where all who walk through the doors feel welcomed and accepted and personally greeted by a minister of Renaissance Outreach Ministries. A Faith-Sharing Ministry where people will continually learn of Christ and progress down the road to discipleship. A Nurturing Ministry where worship, Bible Study, love and compassion are so prevalent that spiritual growth naturally follows. A Giving Ministry where God’s established standard of giving becomes a part of who we are in response to God’s love. An Equipping and Serving Ministry where people discover and develop their spiritual gifts and become involved in ministry for Christ. A Mission Minded Ministry where missions and outreach are a vital commitment to the community and the nations and exceeds our personal commitment to ourselves. Mission Statement Renaissance Outreach Ministries International is a Bible-based ministry with a mission to: Exalt God; Encourage the church; Equip the believers and Evangelize the world.

Organizational Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith A THE BIBLE - We believe that the Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God. The Bible is inerrant in the original writings and is the Christian's final authority in faith and conduct. B GOD - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. C THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST - We believe that by the miracle of the virgin birth, our Lord Jesus Christ, eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, in order to reveal and glorify God and to redeem man. He died for the sins of all men as a substitutionary sacrifice and arose bodily from the dead for our justification, sanctification, and glorification. He is now exalted at the right-hand of the Father, Head of the Body of Christ and Lord of the individual believer, fulfilling His ministry as our Great High Priest and Advocate. D THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, and fills individual believers for the work of ministry. Thus, we believe that He indwells, guides, instructs and empowers the believer for godly living and service. We also believe that God, through the Holy Spirit, bestows spiritual gifts on each believer for the strengthening and outreach of the body of Christ. The practice of these gifts in any gathered body shall be governed by the Scriptures. E SALVATION - We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, neither merited nor secured in part or in whole by any virtue or works of man. Salvation is received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ all true believers have a present possession of eternal life, a declared righteousness before God, sonship in the family of God, deliverance from eternal condemnation, and the availability of every spiritual resource needed for life and godliness. F MAN - We believe that man was created in the image of God. Man, of his own free will, sinned, incurring not only physical death, but also spiritual death (separation from God) Every member of Adam's race has received his measure of this inheritance. We believe that man is subject to the power of the devil, and while man has maintained his state of free will, he has within himself no possible means of recovery apart from the grace of God and His free gift of salvation. G THE CHURCH - We believe that the true church is composed of all persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit through a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Members of the true church will be eligible for membership in the local church. H ORDINANCES OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST - We believe that the practice of baptism and the participation in the Lord's supper are ordinances given by our Lord Jesus Christ. Participation cannot be regarded in any sense as a means of salvation, but rather as external expressions of internal commitments and beliefs. I THE BLESSED HOPE - We believe in the personal, imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: first to receive His own to Himself and later to set up His earthly kingdom. His coming again is used in Scripture as both a "hope" and a "guard" for holy, disciplined living. Only through this event will there be a revitalization of God's original plan for mankind. Then will it be possible. J THE CHRISTIAN'S WALK - We believe that all true Christians have a holy calling to walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Each believer is to live in the power of the indwelling spirit of God so that he will not fulfill the nature of the flesh but be kept in subjection to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ by the Spirit of God. K THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD AND JUDGMENT - We believe that Christ, as the divinely appointed Judge, will raise all the dead, and that life eternal is guaranteed only to those who have believed on Him through faith. By this, the judgment of God is seen, not only as a reality, but as an incentive for one's steadfastness and labor in the Lord. Heaven and Hell are both scriptural realities, with the former having inexpressible joy and the latter eternal torment. L THE WORK OF MINISTRY - We believe that all Christians have been given "gifts" from the Holy Spirit to use in ministry. With Christ as Head of the Church (both universal and local), it is our objective to so work together in the unity of the faith that we will be able to show forth the fullness of Christ and be His "body" wherever we find ourselves. Leadership gifts are given to the church, not to show a different class of ministers, but to distinguish a difference in callings. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastor/teachers have the responsibility to "equip" other saints, given into their care so that all Christians in a local fellowship can be doing the work of ministry. In accordance with this, corporate unity should be the ultimate goal of all decisions within the local body.
