Mission Statement

An authentic autonomous Catholic Church and through quality leadership training, we endeavor to plant vibrant people driven local churches throughout Zambia and Africa as a whole, through the utilization of both celebate and married Clergy.

Description

The Catholic Apostolic Church was began by a Roman Catholic Bishop Carlos Duarte Costa in Botucatu - Brazil, on the 6th of July, 1945, towards the end of the second World War. Currently the Church is in North America, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and in Africa. Here in ZAMBIA, the CANC was registered as a branch of the National Apostolic Church of the United States of America on December 5, 2007, by Archbishop Luciano Anzanga Mbewe. We have churches in the Eastern Province, and in Lusaka, and are continually seeking to expand.

Organizational Statement of Faith

Our Church is Catholic in every respect - the Doctrines, the Liturgy (Worship), Church Discipline and Organization. We do maintain the option of a married priesthood as the Church did during the first 1,500 years. We have remained faithful to Catholic Doctrine and we pray for the Holy Father at each and every Mass, because we are cognizant of the fact that he is the Universal Pastor of the Worldwide Catholic Communion.
