Mission Statement


HERC provides academic support, college and career advising, and retention support to under-represented 6th-12th grade students and their families. HERC awakens vision and purpose in the lives of its participants, equipping them to realize their potential to transform lives and communities.

Description


The Boston HERC, based at Congregation Leon Juda (Lion of Juda) church, serves as a Higher Education Resource Center that merges educational, spiritual, and local resources to support minority students in the Greater Boston area. HERC prepares urban youth to achieve academically by bridging access to higher education. We are open 10am to 9:30pm Monday-Friday. Our services are based on four program areas: 1. Education and career exploration 2. Leadership development 3. Character and life skills 4. Parent outreach
