Katisaa is a sub division of Machokos town which is located about 40 miles from the capital city of Nairobi. Katisaa is the name of the community where the project is located. It is a kamba word that translated into English means shines. The village has a population of mostly elderly and very young people. The population consists mainly of small scale farmers whose livelihood is derived from the sale of their produce.

Organizational Statement of Faith


Katisaa means shine. The center desires for everyone touched there, both as volunteers and recipients, to let their love shine forth as witness to the love of Christ throughout the world. AIC Katisaa believe in the Bible and Jesus Christ teachings.
